Hans van Hartevelt

Biography:

Hans van Hartevelt (1953) works for the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) as director of Information & Library Services. He is a member of the Management Team of KIT, a non-profit institute whose mission is to contribute to sustainable development, poverty reduction, and cultural preservation and exchange. Hans has carried out research and advisory missions for various (international) organizations and governments in more than 40 countries, mainly in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Hans has a Masters degree in Languages and Cultures of South and Central Asia and is also an author whose novels and stories have been published since 1995.
