Biography:

Owain has 25 years’ experience working in the science centres and museums. He specialises in business planning, staffing and operations, planning and strategy, and exhibit development. He has worked with an international network of science centres, museums, contractors and consultants in the UK, Asia, Scandinavia and the Middle East on projects ranging from masterplanning and exhibition design and fit out, to outreach and visitor programmes development.

Starting his career at the Science Museum, London, he has held senior positions in a range of the UK’s most successful science centres and has advised on the startup and ongoing operation of centres around the world. Recent work includes consulting on a wide variety of projects in Saudi Arabia, museums in the UAE, the new Shandong Science and Technology Museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Esplora Science Centre in Malta and the launch of Azerbaijan’s first science centre in Baku.
