Biography:

With over 20 years of experience working in, with and for museum institutions, cultural projects and blossoming destinations, Leila is the Narrative Experience Expert for the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) leading the interpretation of the enormously rich histories in ways that combine ambition, discovery, relevance and wisdom.


Leila’s museum expertise was initiated at the Science Museum (London), graduating from working directly with audiences to delivering high-profile commissions on behalf of the Science Museum in Syria and Azerbaijan, in addition to blockbuster exhibitions. As a founding team member of an international consultancy, Leila developed strategies and creative solutions for a range of science centres, museums, historic sites, foundations and events, around the world.


For the Royal Commission for AlUla, Leila works with a diverse and talented team to craft outcomes-led cultural experiences including the signature Ancient Kingdoms Festival, onsite activations and future museums and science centres. She is especially proud of the continued success of the Rawi team who engage communities and audiences around the world, in their capacity as storytellers and cultural ambassadors.
