NAMES 2012 Conference, 5-6 December

Under the theme Science for Sustainable Development in the Region, the following sub-themes were tackled:

• Sustainable Development in Science Centers’ Strategic Planning & Management;
• Going Green in the NAMES Region;
• Science as an Enabler of Democracy.

Keynote Speakers were:

• Dr. Rashid Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water;
• Prof. Mohamed Larbi Bouguerra, Consultant at the World Health Organization and UNESCO;
• Mr. José Maria Figueres, Chairman of the Carbon War Room.

NAMES 2012 featured 32 Session Speakers and 88 Participants.
