Setting up or expanding a science centre is not an easy task, but luckily you are not on your own! Would you like to give your project a boost, learn from the mistakes of others and save a lot of money? Then there is good news for you! Technopolis® organizes a new Science Centre Academy for new science centres from Wednesday 11 February till Friday 13 February 2015 (till noon).

In the context of its quest to spread the knowledge besides its role to make the university more open towards the social environment and to enable a broader segments of society to keep abreast of scientific and technological progress, Monastir’s Science Palace organized, For the first time in Tunisia, and in collaboration with academic and industrial institutions, the Science City in Tunis, Cultural houses and scientific associations a Scientific Festival that took place the days of June 13, 14 and 15 2014.

The PSC cordially invites students whose age is between 6 to 11 years, to join our upcoming workshop ”Football for Science Geeks”. The workshop takes place at the PSC tent on the BA Plaza from 25 to 28 August 2014.

Abu Dhabi, 09 June 2014 - In the presence of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) announced today the official lainch of the informal science education in Abu Dhabi. Featuring 7 signature galleries and more than 200 interactive hands-on exhibits, this new dedicated landmark is advantageously located in Masdar City, providing rasy access for residents from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Al Gharboyah and the wider UAE.

Drama in an Educational Context is a programme that trains teachers to tailor their lesson plans to reflect their own experiences and theories of education. The Programme also gives teachers the opportunity to take a proactive, integrated approach to teaching science and the arts, using drama as a bridge between the two.

Abu Dhabi, 25th January 2014: The Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee’s (TDC) Takamul innovation support program was awarded with the “Best National Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Policy Award 2013” by the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) at the LESI’s annual Global Technology Impact Forum, held in Geneva, Switzerland 19th-21st January at the headquarters of the United Nations’ World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The forum was attended by the Director General of WIPO, along with representatives of the World Trade Organization (WTO), The Gates Foundation, and many other technology organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

From 2009 to 2011 the Office for Outer Space Affairs held a series of three United Nations/Austria/ESA Symposium on Small Satellite Programme for Sustainable Development. One objective of these Symposiums was to prepare and review the work programme of the Basis Space Technology Initiative. The PSC participates in the second time on the United Nations Basic Space Technology Symposiums

The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) in collaboration with Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) held the first local robotics competition in November 2013, The Robotheca Alexandrina Olympiad (RAO). The competition comprised two categories: the Diver Robot and the Robofight.
