Bibliotheca Alexandrina: The PSC Celebrates End of Summer Festivity 2012

17 Sep 2012

Every year, the Planetarium Science Center celebrates the ending of a successful and fruitful summer of activities in the PSC Summer Closing Ceremony. All students from different age groups are invited to attend the celebration and reflect on the activities they performed through a number of segments presented. In this festivity, the center also celebrates the efforts of the volunteers who helped out with every aspect presented to the Summer Program students.

This year was no different; the PSC organized the End of Summer Festivity 2012 on the 12th of September. Summer Program 2012 students presented their act through the “Science on Stage” segment, where they spoke to the audience about interesting scientific concepts, aided with a presentation or prototype to explain their idea. Science on Stage topics included Electromagnetic induction, Chess and Alzheimer’s disease. Then, a movie showcasing all the Summer Program activities and presenting PSC animators preparing for students’ activities was shown. Last but not least came the Super Science Show attracting the audience from different age groups through a dynamic and interactive presentation of science.
