Water is an essential and precious commodity for our survival and for sustaining life on Earth. Long since, Man invented several techniques to master and collect water. He built dams, aqueducts, Noria (paddle wheel) and so on… His everlasting concern was and is always to protect himself from drought. In her mastering of water, Tunisia has both innovated and also adapted the influence and contributions of the great water-using civilisations.
As a tribute to this know-how, a pavilion dedicated to water, its components, its states and the water reservoirs throughout Tunisia was opened, on December 2, in order to give visitors a better understanding of water physics and chemistry.
