Spend a fun day at the Planetarium Science Center (PSC) where all the family members gather and enjoy all the activities and services at the center in addition to a snack. All the family members will happily enjoy attending the shows, workshops, and they will participate in conducting scientific experiments.

On Sunday 19 September 2016, Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized a grand event to distribute the awards of the International Competition for the Architectural Design of the Science City which will be built in the 6th of October City in Cairo. The competition was under the auspices of the International Union of Architects.

Within the framework of continuous and fruitful cooperation between the BA, the scientific, cultural, and academic institution working on science and knowledge communication, and Sawiris Social Development Foundation, which established numerous partnerships with governmental agencies and others, in addition to Star Care Egypt Foundation, which was founded by Mercedes Benz Egypt partners in order to promote and encourage community service to support and assist children in different fields, “For a Better Teacher” project will be launched on the 2nd of August 2016. This project aims at implementing a training program for teachers based on instilling their self-learning skills and training them on the basic teaching and creative thinking skills. Those skills are necessary in all the fields related to raising up students which are in line with the current requirements of life, in order to reach a better way of teaching and to contribute in the development of education in Egypt.

In light of celebrating the premiere of the two Planetarium shows "The Enlighted Mind" and "The Mission" produced by the BA Planetarium Science Center and the inauguration of the ALEXploratorium after renovation, a seminar entitled "Towards a Society of Knowledge" was held, on Sunday, 17 July 2016.

SCIplanet is a quarterly bilingual edutainment science magazine, published by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center (PSC). The magazine aims to popularize science among the Egyptian public to realize the PSC’s vision of “Science For All!”.

ABU DHABI, March 06, 2016: INNOVATOR Show 2016 has drawn to a successful close with around 20,000 attendees turning out to view unique and inspiring creations from over 100 UAE-based innovators. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC), INNOVATOR Show 2016 took place from 3rd to 4th March 2016 at Corniche-East Plaza in Abu Dhabi. During the event, twenty one innovators were chosen to receive development funds that will enable them to take their creative projects to the next level. As part of their prize, each winner will gain free access to INNOVATOR Space, a permanent maker space where they can use industrial-grade equipment, connect with like-minded peers and learn from experts through training classes and hands-on mentorship.

ABU DHABI, March 4th, 2016: As part of INNOVATOR Show 2016, visitors were given the opportunity to unleash their creative potential and learn from leading experts through a series of hands-on workshops hosted by TechShop at INNOVATOR Space. During the workshops, participants engaged in hands-on activities involving woodworking, metalworking, prototyping and textiles, producing personalized take-away projects from each area.

Abu Dhabi, 13 February 2016: ‘lema?’, the world-class informal science initiative from the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC), is participating in the interactive science event ‘Live Science’, which takes place at Mushrif Park in Abu Dhabi from January 31st to March 5th. A joint initiative from Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala), Live Science provides a platform for the UAE’s youth to learn about aerospace, science and technology innovations through interactive and educational activations.
