The BA Planetarium Science Center is organizing the "Hands on Particle Physics Masterclasses", on Thursday, 7 March 2013. In this event, participants will find answers to different queries of particle physics by browsing, reading, and working through some of the educative materials.

Do you want to observe the sky? Participate in interesting field trips and star parties? Watch movies and shows about astronomy? This is the perfect chance for you to learn about the Science of Astronomy, and also enjoy your time. The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) will initiate the Amateur Astronomy Club Beginners Course, where the junior astronomers can practice astronomy for interest and enjoyment, under the supervision of the PSC.

On the Occasion of the biannual celebration of the perpendicular sun fall on the face of Pharaoh Ramses II statue in Abu Simbel Temple on the 22nd of February, Dr. Omar Fekry, Head of Planetarium Theatre Section at the BA Planetarium Science Center, is giving a lecture on Tuesday, 19 February 2013, at the BACC, the Small Theatre Hall, 4pm.

The PSC Amateur Astronomy Club team will organize Monthly Nights that aim at disseminating astronomy culture and attracting amateurs to observe different astronomical phenomena and share the latest news and updates in astronomy and space sciences.

Alexandria Local Fair 2013 (Intel-BASEF screening) will take place at the BACC-West Exhibition Hall and the Multipurpose Hall, from 12 -14 February 2013. 280 projects from Alexandria, Marsa Matrouh and Beheira registered in 17 different categories.

Sony Creative Science Award 2013 in cooperation with SciTech organized a competition where students, between 9 and 15 years, will create a toy which demonstrates at least one scientific principle.

In Cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, El-Nasr Boys School organized its second annual Science and Engineering Fair (EBSSEF)on 4 February 2013, where students had the chance to increase their awareness of scientific method of thinking.

The PSC newsletter is a milestone on the path to achieve the Planetarium Science Center’s goal of science popularization, and realizing the vision of Science For All! The newsletter aims to publicize the Center’s easy, yet unique variety of activities that aim to educate through entertainment, targeting the general public with emphasis on children and youth.

This evening will be dedicated to winter constellations. The public will have the opportunity to discover or rediscover, through telescopes put at their disposal, the galaxies, the stars and the planets on Saturday, 16 February 2013.
