Shireen Sabanegh is a highly skilled museum and heritage management professional, specializing in curation. With director-level experience, she excels in overseeing all aspects of museum operations, from securing funding to designing captivating exhibitions. Her adeptness at building relationships and adapting to changing priorities has led to numerous successful partnerships in her career.

Shireen's accomplishments also span the realm of education and consultation, where she serves as a Freelance Consultant to museum and education developers. During her tenure as Deputy Director/Exhibit Design & Development Manager at The Children's Museum in Jordan, she displayed visionary leadership by leading fundraising efforts, cultivating national and international institutional relationships, and launching initiatives like the Beyond Museum Walls outreach project.

Beyond her contributions to museums, Shireen is a passionate children's book author with two cherished titles to her name, enriching her professional journey. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Applied Science University in Jordan and pursuing a PG Diploma in Museum Studies at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, Shireen actively contributes as a member of the NAMES Network Advisory and has served on the ICOM Jordan Committee. Her extensive qualifications, memberships, and relevant training make her a valuable member with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

She has been an active member of NAMES since 2013 and was on the NAMES Conference Program Committee in 2016 and 2018.
