In a rapidly shifting landscape, the ability to articulate clear institutional positions while listening intentionally to our publics is a vital skill for science center professionals. This highly interactive session invites participants to move beyond passive listening and engage in a "radical rethink" of our field's future through structured, respectful debate.

Together, we will co-design a series of provocative motions and statements that address the most pressing challenges in the NAMES region—from evolving institutional strategies and organizational culture to shifting audience relationships and content priorities. Using a structured format, the session encourages participants to practice the art of respectful disagreement and mutual understanding.

By exploring common constraints and shared opportunities, this session aims to build a renewed sense of purpose and togetherness. Participants will leave with sharpened communication skills and a collaborative roadmap for listening more effectively to the diverse communities we serve across the region.
