كنت طالبة في الصف الثالث المتوسط لما زرت مركز مشكاة لأول مرة ضمن رحلة مدرسية.
في ذاك الوقت، ماكنت ملمة بمواضيع الطاقة، ولا متخيلة إن زيارة واحدة ممكن تترك هذا الأثر. اللي شدّني في مشكاة إن المعروضات خلت المفاهيم واضحة وبسيطة، وصرت أشوف الطاقة كشيء موجود في حياتنا اليومية، مو بس مصطلح علمي.

ما انتهت قصتي عند مخرج المركز، بالعكس.. رجعت له بعد فترة كمتطوعة.
وخلال التطوع، تعلّمت كيف أشرح للناس، أسمع أسئلتهم، وكيف أكون جزء من تجربة الزائر.
صرت أشوف المركز من الداخل، مو كزائرة، بل كجزء من الفريق اللي يحاول يوصل فكرة ويصنع أثر.

خلال سنة انضمّيت للعمل في مشكاة كمطورة محتوى وبرامج، واليوم أشتغل على تصميم تجارب تعليمية، وأنا دائماً أستحضر نفسي كزائرة أول مرة: وش اللي كان يهمني؟ وش اللي خلاني أرجع؟ هذه الجلسة هي مشاركة لتجربتي الشخصية، وكيف إن بيئة داعمة، وفرص بسيطة مثل زيارة أو تطوع، ممكن تتحول لمسار مهني حقيقي، خاصة للشباب للطموح.

"I was a ninth-grade student when I first visited the Mishkat Interactive Center on a school trip. At the time, I knew very little about energy, and I never imagined that a single visit could leave such a lasting impression. What struck me most was how the exhibits made complex concepts feel clear and simple; suddenly, I saw energy as something woven into our daily lives, not just a scientific term in a textbook.

But my story didn't end at the exit door. On the contrary, I returned some time later as a volunteer. Through volunteering, I learned how to engage with people, listen to their questions, and truly shape the visitor experience. I began to see the center from the inside—not as a guest, but as a member of a team dedicated to communicating ideas and creating an impact.

Within a year, I officially joined the Mishkat team as a Content and Program Developer. Today, as I design educational experiences, I always keep my younger self in mind: What mattered to me as a first-time visitor? What was it that kept me coming back? In this session, I am sharing my personal journey of how a supportive environment and simple opportunities—like a school visit or a volunteer shift—can transform into a real career path, especially for ambitious youth."
