Within Intel BASEF’s closing ceremony program, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center organized an interesting lecture by the adventurer Omar Samra, the first Egyptian to climb Mount Everest and the seven summits, the first Egyptian to ski the North and South poles, and future astronaut with XCOR Aerospace, with Mohamed Sallam, the only Arab and Egyptian Mars astronaut candidate. They talked about the launching of Make Space Yours in Alexandria.

Al Nayzak Registers Three Technological Industrial Companies and Opens a Factory for Innovative Agricultural Equipment

Al Nayzak for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation opened the first factory for innovative agricultural equipment in Palestine as part of its “Made in Palestine” Incubator which is implemented in partnership with Diakonia. The program aims to develop Palestinian economy and bridge scientific research with industrial and business markets. The event took place in Aqrabanyeh village near Nablus to celebrate years of investment in scientific and technological entrepreneurship.

January Astronomy Night: Space Technology

For the second time, The BA Planetarium Science Center hosted Engineer Akram Amin, in cooperation with the Egyptian Association of Astronomy. He held a lecture to talk about what is new in space technology. He also spoke about the latest missions to space; where did they go and why, in addition to their discoveries. Engineer Akram Amin also talked about the new organization which aims at helping those who are interested in astronomy to start their career in the field of aviation.

Al Nayzak Launches a New Educational App

Al Nayzak for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation, in partnership with The U.S Consulate General in Jerusalem, has launched an interactive education app that was developed by 39 Palestinian teachers within “STEM Teachers Excellence in Practice” Program which is implemented in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza. The android app was launched at Al Nayzak Entrepreneurship Conference 2016 with the attendance of over 150 of Al Nayzak teachers and students at the Red Crescent Society Headquarters in Al Bireh.
