The Region’s Biggest Science Festival, ADSF Opens Tomorrow

Abu Dhabi, 11th November 2015 – Organized by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and the Abu Dhabi Technology Development committee (TDC), the Abu Dhabi Science Festival (ADSF) officially opens tomorrow at its new location of Mushrif Central Park. Taking place from November 12-22 2015, ADSF will feature even more visitor experiences than ever before, offering a dynamic mix of informative science activities. Now in its fifth consecutive year, ADSF is designed to spark the imagination of UAE youth in science and technology subjects, supporting the strategic initiatives of the leadership of the UAE.

Science festivals are a global-best practice format of science engagement and ADSF has attracted nearly half a million visitors to date. Offering world-class science activities from leading international partners, ADSF also features a host of exciting local content that has been specifically designed for UAE audiences and adds cultural relevance to the festival.

Promising a fun day out for all the family, ADSF will also host a number of organized school trips, offering an in-depth educational experience. Over 700 ‘Science Communicators’ have been selected from Higher Education Institutions around the UAE to deliver exhibits, workshops and activities to visitors and to pass on their passion for science to the next generation.

The fifth edition of the ADSF is organized by Abu Dhabi Education Council and the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee in partnership with Tawazun as “Presenting sponsor”, Dolphin Energy as “Gold Sponsor”, ADNOC and Etihad Airways as “Affiliate Sponsors”, Abu Dhabi Media Company as
“Exclusive Media Partner” and the Edinburgh International Science Festival (EISF) as “Programming Partner”, with the Festival produced by Flash Entertainment.
