International Sustainability in Science Museums Fellowship!

11 Jun 2017

Twice per year, the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives invites informal science education professionals to become Sustainability in Science Museums Fellows. Approximately 20 Fellows from around the world participate in a weeklong intensive training, immersing themselves in sustainability instruction and activities from ASU scientists, faculty and staff. Although the fellowship is geared toward professionals from science centers and natural history museums, we also invite participants from other informal learning organizations, such as zoos, aquariums, nature centers, and other STEM-related informal education organizations.

At the end of this training, participants will have 6 months to complete a sustainability-related project of their design.

Fellows will receive:

  • A $1,000 stipend, paid to your museum in the following increments: $500 at the beginning of the Fellowship and $500 upon completion of the approved project at your museum.
  • Most meals, housing for the duration of the fellowship, and air travel expenses
  • Ongoing access to content resources and expert assistance throughout the year
