The Goathe-Institute in Alexandria cooperates with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center within the framework of Science Festivity. For the first time, Goathe-Institute organizes the “Science Slam” event in Arabic on 19 April 2013, under the title “Natural Disasters”.

The event is a science competition through which the participants present their research topics to general public in a concise time span of 10 minutes maximum. The scientific content of the presentation as well as the performance of the presenter are assessed. The event also incorporates a workshop on presentation skills and tools, and on how to avoid fear during presentations.
