BA Planetarium Science Center: El-Nasr Girls College Science and Engineering Fair

In Cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, El-Nasr Girls College hosted its second annual Science and Engineering Fair (EGCSEF), the gateway where the young can explore a new world of knowledge, innovation and experience.

EGCSEF was held on the EGC Campus, on 31 January and 2 February 2013 offering young scientists from different schools in Alexandria the chance to showcase their projects and scientific approaches to a selection of the most prominent judges.

The top three winners of EGC Science and Engineering Fair will be qualified to participate directly in Intel BASEF 9-11 March 2013 without going through the screening round. The First Place Award went to Hisham Mohamed Ali for his project “Sixth Generation Engines are Coming” in Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical category. The Second Place Award went to Lamis Ashraf for her project “Curable Vitiligo” in Medicine and Health category, the Third Place Award went to Massaoud Gaber Ibrahim for his project “Security System and the Typical Use of Thorium as a Nuclear Gas” in Chemistry Category.
