BA Planetarium Science Center: Agyal Science and Engineering Fair

Under the Umbrella of Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair, Agyal School has organized the first internal school fair, where students from Agyal and 6 neighbor schools were able to test their abilities and learn how to go through a research project.

ASEF took place in Agyal School on 19 December 2012. The event was a success; 49 projects in 13 different categories participated in ASEF.

The first 3 winning projects will participate directly in Intel BASEF 2013, 9-11 March 2013. The First Place Award went to Aya Fouad Hussein Ahmed from Esmat Abd Elmaged School for her project “A Balancing Machine for Motorcycles” in Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical Category. The Second Place Award went to Akram Khaled from Elgamsy School for his project “The Great Cancer” in Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical Category, and the Third Place Award went to Rana Abdl Nasser Abul Fotoh from Esmat Abd Elmaged School for her project “Rice Making” from Plant Science Category.

Three special awards were also granted at ASEF; Best Team Project Award went to Sohaila Tarek Abdel Aziz, Rewan Mohamed Abul Fotoh, and Youssra Gamal Mohamed from Esmat Abd Elmaged School for their project “Healthy Deaf” in the Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical Category. Best Sustainable Project Award went to Mariam Osama from Ibn Khaldoun School for her project “Paper Recycling” in the Environmental Management Category. Best Effort Award went to Aya Abd Elraouf from Agyal School for her project “Green Exhaust Pipes” in Environmental Sciences Category.
