As part of the International Year of Biodiversity (IYB) 2010, announced by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) organizes "Biodiversity: Play and Learn" Exhibition from 9 to 24 November 2010.

The Planetarium Science Center is organizing an event entitled “Le Genie des Pyramides” (Pyramids Building Techniques) on Friday, 29 October 2010, presented by Pierre Crozat, the French architect, that aims to explain different theories of pyramids construction with different materials.

Discovery Place is a place that invites the visitors to discover science through play and fun. The exhibits at Discovery Place are distinct in their suitability for all ages. One may find young children, teenagers, and parents among the visitors.

The Scientific Center Kuwait proudly opened its first of many travelling exhibits entitled Flight! The exhibits includes 17 interactive stations in the space of 460 square meters, ranging from testing your piloting skills, to learning about present day aviation and air traffic. The exhibition has been produced by Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre with support from aviation experts, and in particular, Finnair and the Finnish Aviation Authority.

The Tunis Science City published the 17th issue of its newsletter in three versions: Arabic, French, and English. As usual, this new issue encompasses different themes relating to the scientific activities of the city.

The temporary exhibition pavilion of the Tunis Science City will host a new exhibition entitled “Illusion”.This exhibition is dedicated to the large public and it includes 33 hands-on exhibits based on multimedia techniques and lighting

On 18 October 2009, the BA Planetarium Science Center inaugurated the Planetarium after a huge upgrading. Thanks to the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, the Planetarium now operates a cutting-edge full-dome Digistar3 projection system with a rich set of real-time 3D astronomy features and a wide database of celestial bodies that enables the audience to explore the universe as never before.

The Tunis Science City has largely contributed to this event through a rich and varied activity.Program involving a hands-on exhibit entitled “On The Road to Kairouan”, a photo gallery and architecture models related to the monuments of Kairouan, “As Time Goes By” outlining the main steps in the history of sciences of Kairouan during the Aghlabide and the Sanhagite era.

As usual, the Tunis Science City will contribute to the celebration of this event through a set of activities meant for all the age categories. The program of this year encompasses two exhibitions: “The Space How it Works” and “A Trip via The Electromagnetic Waves”.
