Ahmed Salim is an award-winning producer, global change maker, philanthropist and British social entrepreneur. His work has engaged over 500 million people globally through inclusive experiences designed to inspire a more compassionate World.
As the Founder and Director of the 1001 Foundation, Ahmed is best known for producing the acclaimed global educational initiative '1001 Inventions'. His efforts have been recognized internationally, earning him a place on The 500 Most Influential Muslims lists from 2015 to 2018.
Ahmed's award-winning films have reached an audience of over 200 million people, and his exhibition events have sold out venues attracting more than 20 million visitors worldwide. Over 2.5 million copies of his books have been sold.
In 2020, Ahmed launched 1001 Paws, an animal welfare initiative working extensively in the Middle East and North Africa to address the crisis facing stray and abandoned animals. He also advises government and private sectors on humane and sustainable animal care policies.
