The Arab Forum for Science Media and Communication

The North Africa and the Middle East Science centers network (NAMES) is participating in the second virtual edition of the Arab Forum for Science Media and Communication (AFSMC 2022). NAMES will be presenting a plenary session during the Forum on Sunday, 27 February 2022, 13:00-14:00 Cairo time.

NAMES network participated as Content Partner in the first “Arab Forum for Science Media and Communication”, held online 21–24 February 2021. Through this partnership, the network provided 25 fellowships to the employees of member institutions to attend the forum for free.

Global Science Engagement Networks Continue International Partnerships in 2020 and 2021

Going forward regional networks are continuing our active collaboration through future convenings and through common action to advance science engagement, science communication, and science learning in communities across the world. We will work together with and for our members to strengthen the work we do to connect science and society to solve global challenges and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Arab Science Week 2020

The Egyptian Science Week was launched in 2016, succeeding in bringing together 2.5 million participants through its events, which led to its expansion to become a regional event that included the whole Arab world. The event witnessed the participation of a number of speakers who are science pioneers in the Arab world, to discuss significant scientific issues in all science fields.
