The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) orgazined the “Ramadan Crescent” event on 19 July 2012, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Small Theatre and Plaza at 6:00 pm. The event started with a lecture by PSC Astronomer, Dr. Omar Fikry, accompanied by live observation by Mr. Aymen Ibrahem, PSC Senior Astronomy Specialist, to introduce the audience to the marvels of the skies.

“Ramadan Crescent” is a part of the PSC 10th Anniversary celebration; 10 Years of Science Communication. The celebration encompasses a series of events and activities held throughout the months of July till October 2012, aiming to crown the PSC’s successes along the past years. “10 Years of Science Communication” invites school and university students, along with their families to participate in the educational-entertaining activities, and welcomes all attendees to share our joy of the past achievements, and enthusiasm for the future aspirations, presented through this series of interactive events.
