Abstract:
Egyptian Science Week: Egypt Speaks Science
Egyptian Science Week (ESW) is an annual Egyptian event that is held in March, gathering a vast variety of scientific events—scientific shows, public lectures, engaging scientific competitions, and various online activities. ESW harnesses the power of the community to reach out to people all over Egypt, in urban as well as rural areas, in collaboration with governmental organizations, universities, schools, research centers, NGOs, and student activities. In 2018, the community organized 400 science communication events in 27 Egyptian governorates, including a dedicated program to schools’ engagement and various pop events; such as science cafes, science theatre, and field trips.
