Sustainable for the Long Term – Maintaining and Developing a National Center
To be truly sustainable, an organization must address its survival and growth from all aspects: its finances, structure, operations, as well as its long term vision. In this session, the Children’s Museum Jordan (CMJ) will share why and how sustainability has become a strategic objective and how they are aiming to apply the term to everything they are doing.
After 10 years of operation and growth, CMJ’s management has identified several risks they are facing in terms of maintaining and growing their operations. Should sustainability be defined in financial terms and what are the main factors to be taken into consideration? How do we align all of the organization’s board, management, team, and partners towards the same goal? Join this session to learn more about their experience so far.

She will be highlighting how centers can make an effort in reaching out to audiences through innovative and unconventional programs. She will also be sharing another experience of an outsourced project for UNICEF Jordan for their Mobile Innovation Labs which was an exciting milestone to develop content for underserved children in refugee camps and host communities.
