Halah Yahya Murtada is Educational Relations & Community Outreach Supervisor at Mishkat. An initiative from the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, Mishkat is an interactive science discovery centre developed to inspire the next generation of Saudi Arabian energy innovators.
The word Mishkat “مشكاة” is an Arabic word that is used metaphorically in Quran to describe the light and guidance of Allah (God). Mishkat is a niche where candle light is protected and given a chance to spread beautifully. Mishkat Interactive Center opts to do to science what Mishkat does to light (spread it beautifully, protect it and enhance it).
Mishkat combines hands-on exhibits, cutting-edge technology and electrifying events to create an enjoyable learning experience for visitors of all ages.
