The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center has contributed in the Bahrain Summer Festival 2015 during August. The center has contributed in the third week of the festival under the overarching theme “The African Week”, the center’s animators presented the famous Super Science Show, an interactive show that simplifies science to the public through a number of practical experiments displayed in a funny and simple way. There was a large audience because the show’s content and simplicity.

ABU DHABI, 07 March 2015: The Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) announced today the recipients of its INNOVATOR Show development funds. The six recipients were chosen from a breadth of almost 100 innovations showcased to around 8,000 attendees at INNOVATOR Show, that took place at the Abu Dhabi Corniche on the 5th and 6th March.

INNOVATOR Show 2015 is set to bring the East Plaza at Abu Dhabi Corniche alive this weekend with its range of interactive workshops and signature innovations that promise an exciting event for all ages of the community.

Abu Dhabi, 25th February 2015: The inaugural Takamul Defence Innovation and Technology Conference (DITEC) 2015 proved a great success with over 300 delegates and speakers attending. The conference took place on 25 February, and was organised by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC), the government entity established to support the development of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in Abu Dhabi. Through its wide range of initiatives, TDC is at the forefront of fostering an STI talent base and driving innovation in support of realizing leadership’s goal of making the UAE amongst the most innovative nations in the world.

The course aims at fostering the collaboration between teachers and museum educators as facilitators of learning and active engagement in science. It supports the use of museums as educational resources for teaching and learning in science and as tools of scientific citizenship. It is organized in a series of lectures, museum visits, interactive workshops, discussion games and experimental activities. All these use the exhibitions and interactive labs of the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milano. The course is held by an international group of experts specializing in a range of fields: pedagogy, museum education, science education, science & society, research and evaluation, professional development, new media and technologies.

Abu Dhabi, 10 February 2015: In a step to advance the cooperation between the government of Abu Dhabi and the Republic of Korea in the field of science and technology, the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of The Republic of Korea. The Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee is coordinating the effort on behalf of a number of key Abu Dhabi Government institutions, namely the Department of Economic Development, the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre, Mubadala and the Executive Affairs Authority. These Abu Dhabi government entities are keen on advancing the agenda of science, technology and innovation in Abu Dhabi to enable the creation of a knowledge-based economy.

ABU DHABI, February 2nd, 2015: The Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) today officially launched its newest initiative, the INNOVATOR program that has been designed to nurture innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. The program, comprising four main components; The Space, The Show, The Tour and The Magazine, actively supports inventors, innovators and creative individuals throughout the different stages of their innovation development; from the moment of inspiration to creation.
