New perspectives for children exhibitions: how do we stay relevant

Numerous of science centers today propose exhibition spaces dedicated to a young audience. But after years of operation, how do we stay relevant? How museums still appeal to children and their parents?
The world we live in today has changed, and so our exhibitions planning should reflect and address these changes. Children nowadays grow up in a different world; Even the relationship between generations has changed.
Our issue is therefore to deem these important mutations of the society when designing child-oriented exhibitions, without leaving out the specificities of the children: we have to consider that a children is not only a "little adult" but an human being in development with specific abilities.
In this session we will present these challenges with the view of 3 perspectives: how can the strategy of temporary exhibitions, frequent evaluations and science communication be a possibility to face these issues?
